Cannot praise them enough! Been using them for years.
My family have been wearing these for as long as I can remember. Growing up we went to the lake every weekend. Each of us had one of these shirts and we wore them every day we spent on the boat. I know I put them through their paces as a kid. I still have one that must be 15 years old, because I wore it in middle school (~2004). It doesn't fit me anymore, but I often lend it to friend on trips down the river. Besides being light and comfortable, they really do work. I should mention my family has varying degrees of sun allergy. My siblings burn easily and turn an hour swim into huge blistering burns. Dad, can't mow the lawn without his jacket, gloves, and hat (all from Solumbra) unless he wants to be miserably ill. While I came out on top in the genetic lottery on that front, cancer is still a real concern. This solves all those problems much better than sunscreen alone.

A MUST FOR THE CAMINO DE SANTIAGO!
I purchased two of these shirts to use for the 500-mile Camino de Santiago. The shirts performed extremely well in all respects . . . sun protection, durability, minimal wear from rubbing against backpack, easy to hand wash, and relatively quick drying except bands around wrists. The shirts became my choice for the Camino and afterward. Highly recommended!

Great for Yard Work
I purchased this for my brother who never wears sun screen and sometimes does house painting and yard work. He wears this shirt religiously to protect him from the Arizona sun. I should have gotten the Medium as the sizing chart suggested, because it's a little large around the middle. He doesn't care though. Next time I will know, the sizing chart is very helpful.

I LIKE IT
I do a lot of yard work and needed good protection. I chose Solumbra/Sun Precautions over another major company as Solumbra has been tested after 500 laundering cycles and the other only after 40 laundering cycles. I wanted the shirt to provide protection and last more than 40 washes, so I chose Solumbra. I have used this shirt for 8 months and it is holding up fine. I have 5 shirts and 2 hats and I am satisfied with all. I am posting this similar review under the other products I have bought.

Fantastic Garment
I wanted something that would be cool in the heat of the Central Valley. I went by the sizing chart but was skeptical of the size that was called for. This shirt is perfect, loose enough for ventilation and tight enough so that on my bicycle it doesn't flap excessively. Perfect clothes for being active while getting protection from the sun.

I Love, love, love this shirt! I wear it while doing outside chores and activities. It's comfortable and has provided all the protection I need for my PMLE. Oh - it washes up beautifully too.

How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized.
It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam:
Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.
Unisex Tall Sizing:
Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".
Women's Tall Sizing:
Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.
Women's Petite Sizing:
Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".
Hats:
Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.
Gloves:
Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
Shade Sleeves:
Sizing for this garment is based on your Solumbra shirt size.
