Great concept; works wonderfully
Parasols are very 19th century (and before). :-) I was surprised to see this offered and bought it some time ago when it was first offered. I travel internationally a lot (I am retired; that's my new job - travel!). This is easy to pack along and does the job - so much better than a hat in intense sun. It also gets attention (people don't realize parasols still exist except is some Latin Am countries and SE Asia). I bought the yellow because it's a fun color. It is not meant to be used in the rain; it's only for sun protection. It's very lightweight. I prefer to be out and about without any bag (just a pocket for essentials) so carrying a bag to bring this along was an adjustment, but worth it. I made a sleeve cover for it to keep it clean in my bags (bought ripstop fabric at a fabric store - easy peasy; used an umbrella sleeve cover as a template).

Wish it was multifunctional
First I need to say that I love the feel of this fabric, but I'm not sure how it will work on an umbrella. I was hoping that it could be used multi functional so that it would work in wet weather too... but I'm not sure that it will. It will definitely work for the sun protection so it gets stars for that.... Love the color (I got the yellow)... I will give an update once I use it

How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized.
It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam:
Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.
Unisex Tall Sizing:
Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".
Women's Tall Sizing:
Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.
Women's Petite Sizing:
Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".
Hats:
Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.
Gloves:
Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
Shade Sleeves:
Sizing for this garment is based on your Solumbra shirt size.
