This pair of simple tube-like sleeves deliver a wallop of full-on sun protection. Made of super soft and lightweight four-way stretch BodyShade fabric with wicking technology, they shield your arms from cuff to bicep. Silicone gripper tape at the bicep holds the protectors in place while thumbholes help give back of hand protection.

I can go outside and I have my life back again!!!!!
I am highly photo sensitive, to the point were I feel like I have needles shooting into my skin when I am in the sun and then I itch so badly, for days, I rip my skin off from scratching. So I stay inside during the summer because going outside in the humidity Is torture in long sleeves and long pants. I love to garden and soak up the sun, go to the beach, sit outside to read and medications have changed that for me, drastically! So in desperation, I ordered these. I was almost afraid to be hopeful. They arrived and I CAN GO OUTSIDE!!!! I can ride in the car with these on and not have to be covered in heavy long sleeves, I can drive with the windows down and my arm on the window frame!!! I can walk the dogs at noon and I feel no needles and have no itching!!! These are cool and light weight and super easy to wear. They run a bit large but I love that as it gives me extra length, I have pretty long arms. (From tip of middle finger to tip of middle finger my “wingspan” is 6 feet.) I would highly recommend these. At least try them, they might give you your life back like they did mine!!!

These sleeves ROCK!!!
I had elbow surgery a few months back and wanted something to keep my arm OUT of the sun. These are fantastic and I love them and wear them ALOT. Especially when I'm driving, I like how my hand is also covered. I bought them in Stone. Not quite so obvious as the White, easier to keep clean than White too. My bicep is a little over 12". I ordered Medium and it's perfect. Close but not binding. My skin is sensitive, but I had no problem with the elastic. I would definitely buy again and will tell my Dr. so he can share this info with other patients.

Lovely. But, if you are a senior, maybe adjust size
Every summer I get a couple of new hats or other things sun-protectant from Sun Precautions/Solumbra. I just got these as a sleeker version of the shade sleeves (a pair of which I keep in my car with hand guards for driving). I like them a lot. I am sharing this in case my problem applies to you: I am in my mid-60s and my upper arms are, unfortunately, a bit "flappy". As a result, when I measured my arms at 14" and size L was for 13" - 15", I chose size L. Apparently, because my arms are not 14" of firmness & muscle, size L worked its way down my arm after walking several hundred yards. Size M stays up and is not too tight. (Fyi: the shade sleeves close with velcro, so you adjust them yourself each time you put them on.) I walk my dog every day with these sleeve protectors, size M, + a pair of hand guards, XL.

How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized.
It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam:
Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.
Unisex Tall Sizing:
Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".
Women's Tall Sizing:
Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.
Women's Petite Sizing:
Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".
Hats:
Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.
Gloves:
Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
Shade Sleeves:
Sizing for this garment is based on your Solumbra shirt size.
