Just what I need.
I have PMLE and will develop allergic symptoms from UVA/UVB levels greater than zero....which is pretty limiting. I ordered these pants so that I would have a light weight cooler protective pant to wear while outside. I recently went camping at a lake for 3 very sunny and hot days. I wore these pants every day, went hiking and sat out in the midday sun for periods of time. I NEVER developed a rash on my legs. My pants got very dirty and washed up well ( except for pine pitch which never comes out). I am a 5'5 plus size woman and the pants fit me just right, were a bit long, but I found that I was glad to have that extra length to cover my feet in sandals. I'm ordering another pair today!

Comfortable pants with internal adjustable closure
I am a medium tall woman, almost 5'8, and I have been buying the women's active pants (style number 23500) which fit fairly well. I purchased the unisex active pants as I wanted a couple pairs of pants in the color navy and they were out of stock in the style 23500. I actually like the unisex pants better as the waist is adjustable allowing greater comfort. The pants were a bit long, so I hemmed them. This took about 15 minutes total sewing time. If you are not nifty with the needle, I'm sure a tailor can hem them for you. I like these pants as they are comfortable and have deep pockets. They are also very cool to wear during summer.

Active Pants
These pants are very old fashioned in their design, and the elastic in the waist was too firm. A lower waist with a softer wider elastic band would be far more comfortable and I actually had them altered to to that style. Having said that, the fabric is very cool and lightweight. I use them mostly for tennis and find them very easy to play in. Overall, a lovely way to cover up.

How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized.
It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam:
Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.
Unisex Tall Sizing:
Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".
Women's Tall Sizing:
Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.
Women's Petite Sizing:
Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".
Hats:
Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.
Gloves:
Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
Shade Sleeves:
Sizing for this garment is based on your Solumbra shirt size.
