There seems to be many thoughts on the fit and I wanted to add mine. I am 5'8 and 200 lbs. I usually buy a 16-18 (size xl tops) . I carry my weight mostly in my butt, hips and thighs. I read all the reviews and ordered the size L. It is perfect for me because I wanted a longer/larger swim cover up. It hits me about mid to lower thigh in the back and a few inches above the knee in the front. If I were to wear this as a shirt or over a tank top with shorts or pants I would probably order a medium. I hope this helps other when shopping. I love that the shirt is light weight and the cuffs can be rolled up. I have not yet been in the sun with it to test for protection from sunburn.

Love, love, love this shirt
Purchased the Paradise Big Shirt in the striped pattern. I love how this shirt fits, love the sleeves, love the stripe patten, and I love the fabric. All around this shirt is a winner.

Great cover-up!
I ordered the size M based on the size chart and thinking that I would like an oversized cover-up. It was way too big. I think the S will be much better. All that aside, the turquoise color and the fabric are outstanding. I cannot wait to wear this in the tropics!

This shirt is incredibly comfortable, cute and a colorful addition to my wardrobe. The long sleeves expanded my wardrobe that allowed me to layer with sleeveless tanks and still get that needed protection. What a winner! Just wish for more colors to select from.

How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized.
It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam:
Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.
Unisex Tall Sizing:
Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".
Women's Tall Sizing:
Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.
Women's Petite Sizing:
Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".
Hats:
Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.
Gloves:
Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
Shade Sleeves:
Sizing for this garment is based on your Solumbra shirt size.
