Don’t say we didn’t warn you: this go-anywhere-do-anything sun protective tee might cause a case of shirt-envy among the other tops in your wardrobe. It features a flattering boatneck opening (which makes slipping it on and off a breeze), slightly flared cuffs with vents, side vents at the hem (that won’t bunch if tucked in) and keep-it-cool underarm mesh.

Sizing is odd, but I'm Back for Another Color
I got this in black last year. I love it for the coverage and the styling. I can wear it to my office, where I might also spend part of the day outside at a job site. The flared cuffs make the sleeves graceful, but I can also roll the cuffs up for a more tailored look. The shaped styling is very nice. The sizing seems off, I'm normally a S or M but sized down to an XS when I got this. For what it's worth, I am 5'4" and 145lbs. I carry my weight around my hips, but I also have swimmer's shoulders. Approx measurements are 36-31-42. This top hits at the hip, so the side vent in the hem made it work (but it didn't gap too much worn outside ). Going by the sizing chart, I would be between a S and M; for comparison in the Women's Tailored front-button shirt, the size 10 is proportioned right but if it were any more snug I wouldn't wear it to my office. Having said all that, this top in XS fits me just right; I love the way it looks, which is perfect for me, but any tighter wouldn't work for office wear. I want to get it in white, but will wait until they restock size S in white so it will be a tiny bit looser.

Nice top, a bit restrictive.
I purchased this top to wear to a funeral. I have a severe sun allergy and I have to wear sun protective clothing any time that I go outside. Being restricted to sun protective clothing is difficult because most styles are for working out or going on vacation. I purchased this top because the style is more neutral. However, I have large breasts and this top is not cut full in the chest area. I found in general with Sun Precautions that I have to buy one of their oversized styles (which are not professional looking) or I have to be uncomfortable like I was wearing this top. It is very frustrating because if I order a size up the tops look sloppy, and wearing the oversized tops looks sloppy. The style of this top is very nice, and their clothing offers the best sun protection, so I was overall satisfied, but I am hoping that soon a company starts to offer more professional and comfortable options.

How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized.
It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam:
Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.
Unisex Tall Sizing:
Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".
Women's Tall Sizing:
Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.
Women's Petite Sizing:
Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".
Hats:
Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.
Gloves:
Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
Shade Sleeves:
Sizing for this garment is based on your Solumbra shirt size.
