If for any reason you are dissatisfied with any item within 90 days of purchase, return it for an exchange or full refund, less the original shipping & handling charge. Please use the return instructions on the purchase invoice and indicate the reasons for the exchange/return.
You may use any carrier to return your package. For your protection, we recommend insuring your return package.
Please return wide brim hats in the original packaging to prevent shipping damage. Please affix the return label from the back of your invoice onto the package.
If you do not have your original packing slip, please download this Return/Exchange Form and fill out all information.

Canada: Shipped via USPS/Canada Post, First Class Airmail or UPS (phone for details). Delivery in 7 to 21 days. Duties and taxes may be collected at time of delivery. Please add $10 to basic shipping and handling rates.
International: Shipped via First Class Mail International. Duties and taxes may be collected at time of delivery. Shipping rates are either quoted with order or confirmed by correspondence prior to shipment. Fax orders preferred. Please provide e-mail address. View International Order Requirements
International Order Requirements
For your protection, Sun Precautions requires the following information:
- Fax a copy of the front and back of the credit card you wish to use, with credit card number, expiration date, and cardholder signature clearly visible.
- A statement signed by the cardholder stating "I agree to pay the total amount of this order, in US dollars, according to my card issuer agreement."
- Please fax this information to 425-303-0836 in order to pay by credit card. We also accept checks or money orders ($ U.S.) payable to Sun Precautions, Inc.
Care Instructions
Solumbra Fabric
Machine wash cold. Do not use bleach or Woolite. Wash darks separately. Tumble dry gentle low heat. Remove promptly from dryer. Cool iron. Do not dry clean.
Colorblocked Solumbra Fabric
Use extra care in washing your color-blocked Solumbra items. Machine wash cold. Remove promptly from washing machine to prevent color bleed. Do not use bleach or Woolite. Tumble dry gentle low heat. Remove promptly from dryer. Cool iron. Do not dry clean.
Solumbra II (4-way stretch fabric—waterwear)
Machine or hand wash in cold water using mild detergent. Hang dry. Do not use bleach or Woolite. Do not dry clean. Rinse promptly in cool water after swimming.
Solumbra Hats
Your hat may be hand-washed using a mild detergent. Air dry. Do not use bleach or Woolite. Do not dry clean. The Solumbra Sun Hat and Shade Caps will travel well if packed flat without bending the brim.
Cotton Duck Hats
Spot clean or hand wash cold using soft brush. Do not twist or wring. Reshape. Dry flat. Do not dry clean. Do not fold brim.
Straw Hats
This hat should not be immersed in water or worn in wet conditions. The Solumbra fabric under the brim may be sponged clean. Do not pack flat.
Gloves
Hand wash warm. Rinse immediately. Do not bleach. Do not twist or wring. Air dry flat.
Parasols
Spot clean or hand wash cold being careful not to bend or damage spokes. Air dry open. Do not bleach. No Woolite.
Solumbra Sizing
How to Measure

Most Solumbra clothing is oversized. It is designed with generous proportions to give you freedom to move around. There's no need to order larger sizes. Exceptions are noted in product copy.
Inseam: Measurement from inside crotch seam to bottom of hem.

Unisex Tall Sizing: Unisex tall shirts are sized for customers over 6'4" and have sleeve length measurements from center back of M 36"; L 381/2"; XL and 2XL 391/2".

Women's Tall Sizing: Women's tall pants have a 34" inseam.

Women's Petite Sizing: Petite garments are sized for customers up to 5'3".

Hats: Measure around your head with measuring tape above your eyebrows and ears.

Gloves: Measure around hand across the knuckles (exclude thumb). The number of inches determines glove size. If you are right-handed, measure your right hand and vice versa. People with extra long fingers, or who would like a looser fit should consider ordering a size up.
